大学向け海外インターンシップ事前研修を実施しました

2026年8月、愛知県内の大学にて、海外インターンシップに参加する学生を対象とした海外インターンシップ事前研修を実施しました。

本研修は、学生が海外でのインターンシップをより有意義なものにするため、英語による

コミュニケーション力に加え、異文化理解やビジネスマナー、海外の職場で求められる

対応力を身につけることを目的としたプログラムです。

今年の夏は、アジア各国でのインターンシップを予定している学生を対象に、3日間に

わたって研修を実施しました。

研修では、アジア各国の文化や社会、ビジネスマナー、第一印象やスモールトークなどに

ついて学ぶとともに、海外の職場や日常生活で実際に起こり得る場面を想定した

シチュエーション別英会話を実施。自己紹介、職場での質問や確認、進捗報告など、

インターンシップ先ですぐに活用できるビジネス英語を実践的に学びました。

また、異なる文化的ルールや価値観を体験する異文化シミュレーションやグループディスカッションを通して、自分にとっての「当たり前」が、異なる文化では必ずしも同じではないことを体験しながら、異文化の中で柔軟にコミュニケーションを取ることの大切さについて考えました。

留学生向け「異文化・エンパシー」研修も新たに実施

さらに今年度は、留学生10名を対象に、新たな異文化コミュニケーション研修も

実施しました。

テーマは

Empathy as a Cross-Cultural Workplace Skill（異文化の職場におけるエンパシーの力）。

海外インターンシップや将来の国際的な職場環境を想定し、言語、価値観、

コミュニケーションスタイル、文化的な期待の違いが、どのように職場での誤解につながるのかを考えました。

ロールプレイ、アクティブリスニング、エンパシーマッピング、ディスカッションなどを

通して、異なる立場や視点を理解すること、フィードバックや意見の違いに建設的に

対応すること、そして信頼と相互理解に基づいた人間関係を築くための実践的なスキルを

学びました。

本研修は参加者から非常に高い評価をいただき、学生だけでなく、日本人スタッフや

マネジメント層を対象とした研修としても展開したいとのご要望をいただきました。

異文化理解やエンパシーは、海外に行く学生だけに必要なものではありません。多様な国籍や文化的背景を持つ人々がともに学び、働く環境において、組織全体に求められる重要な

スキルになっています。

ステライノベーションズでは、今後も大学・教育機関と連携し、学生の海外での学びや経験につながる実践的な教育をサポートしてまいります。

また、各大学の目的やニーズに沿った独自の研修プログラムを企画と作成し、

実施しています。

Pre-Departure Training for Overseas Internships

In August 2026, Stella Innovations conducted a pre-departure training program for university students participating in internships across Asia.

The program was designed to prepare students not only with practical English communication skills, but also with the cross-cultural understanding, business etiquette and communication skills needed to work confidently in an international environment.

During the three-day program, students learned about Asian cultures and business practices and participated in practical English activities based on situations they may experience during their internships. These included self-introductions, asking questions at work, making requests, reporting progress and communicating in everyday situations.

Students also took part in cross-cultural simulations and group discussions, giving them an opportunity to experience different cultural perspectives and consider how values and communication styles can differ across cultures.

New Cross-Cultural Empathy Seminar for International Students

This year, we also introduced a new seminar for 10 international students in the program.

The seminar "The Power of Empathy as a Cross-Cultural Workplace Skill" focused on developing the cross-cultural awareness, empathy and practical communication skills needed for overseas internships and future international careers.

Through role-plays, active listening, empathy mapping and discussions, students explored how differences in language, values, communication styles and cultural expectations can lead to misunderstandings in the workplace. They also practiced understanding different perspectives, responding constructively to feedback and disagreement, and building positive professional relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

The seminar received outstanding feedback, and following the program, we were asked to explore expanding the training beyond students to include Japanese staff and senior management.

Cross-cultural understanding and empathy are not skills needed only by students going abroad. As universities and workplaces become increasingly international, they are becoming essential skills for everyone working and communicating across cultures.
